| An exquisite Cartier platinum and diamond brooch dating from the 1930s. The brooch is signed Carter 54-51151 and the platinum is tested. The double foliate design measures approximately 1 1/2" by 1 1/2". The back has a 14K white gold (tested) double hinged dress clip, typical of the period. The design is bead and prong set with a total of 55 round brilliant cut diamonds. Estimated total diamond weight is 6.5 ct.t.w. Clarity VVS2 to Vs2, Color E/F. Symmetry and polish are very good. The brooch comes with its original box and is accompanied with an independant GIA appraiser with a Fair market/ Estate value for insurance of $18,950. Condition is excellent. | |||||||
