A fine American Federal mahogany sideboard, Baltimore, circa 1790. The serpentine shaped top , over a conforming case fitted with two short side drawers flanking a larger center drawer. Below the drawers are two side cupboards and a center cupboard with bowed doors. Flanking the center cupboard are two narrow cutlery drawers. Each drawer and door is decorated with line inlay in oval form. The lower edge of the case has a checkered band of inlay. The square tapered legs have line inlay and a floral blossom at the top where they join the case. Hardware is original however posts are later replacements. Condition: Very good with fine color and patina. Dimensions: Height 40", Depth 28 1/4", Width 68 1/2".
