A fine and rare Late 18th or Early 19th Century carved giltwood mirror circa 1800, American or English. The vertical mirror plate within a frame with bead and rope borders surmounted with a boldly carved eagle supporting a draped swag laced with a scrolling vine with rosettes. The base of the mirror is decorated with a swag and central bellflower drop pendant. Condition: Excellent with original gilded surface, mirror plate, and pine backboards.
