This small bronze, measuring 6 1/4" high and 3" deep is is signed "H Muller", and depicts the mythological Diana and her dog. The bronze stands on a red marble base. These sort of bronzes were sold to travelers taking the Grand Tour of Europe in the Nineteenth Century, and are usually desk-size copies of large bronze originals in great museums. This bronze is in generally good condition, although the bottom half of her bow is missing. This is certainly continental (German?) c. 1880.
