A fine and very unusual pair of bronze owl form candlesticks, circa 1850. Each with a domed base, with basket weave and rope borders, supporting the plinth and standing owl. Just above is a round drip pan dressed with drop prisms with brass mounts. The candle nozzle is ribbed and is cast with the bobeche. Condition; very good with an old patina.
