A fine Early Nineteenth Century English portrait of a woman, watercolor on paper, circa 1820. The female subject is posed in a Neoclassical Period interior parlor where the painter exhibited great skill in the use of decorative elements. Condition is good. The watercolor appears to be in its original frame which bears a label from the shop of the frame maker, ( Edward Noyes, Chester ). Dimensions: Height 8 3/4", Width 8". Frame H 11 1/2", W 10 1/2".
