A fine and unusual Late Nineteenth Century figural cigar lighter. The lighter is in the form of a standing lion. It is posed in a strong and proud stance. The bronze is crisply cast and has a rich deep patina. There is a wick spout in the lion's mouth and a lighting wand which is anchored in its head. Condition is very good.
