A fine Japanese cloisonne scenic plate, 19th Century, circa 1880. The plate with an outer border worked in golden ginbari ground decorated with floral rosettes. The central field with a large floral and vegetative patch with three feeding birds and butterflies. The image is finely executed and exhibits a sophisticated color range. The back decorated in a turquoise ground with an all over rock work theme. Condition is very good with very minor surface wear and some very slight craze in the turquoise enamel on the far left side, (barely visible). Dimensions: Diameter 12 1/8".
