This white ironstone barometer with thermometer was most likely made in England (there is a Rd. number for "Registered" on the reverse). The barometer, which shows some crazing appropriate to its age, measures 16 3/4" in length, and 5 1/2" at its widest. Both thermometers and barometer are in good working order, manufactured c. 1920. A fine early Yale College photograph of students and faculty from the class of 1883. The image was shot in front of a large Romanesque building. The photo is mounted on its original hard backing. The verso is stamped Leopold Photographer, 180 Bradley St, New Haven, CT. His image also appears. Condition: Very Good.
