Depicting an itenerant or Gypsy camp, flanked with workhorses, and figures around a campfire, this Nineteenth Century European (perhaps English?, Scottish?) painting has a plaque affixed saying "Melville" although we have not been able to attribute that name. The 14" x 8" canvas is framed in a 21 3/4" x 15 3/4" gilt frame and mat. Offered in excellent condition, both frame and canvas.
