A fine German Eighteenth Century burr walnut fall front desk, circa 1770. The fall front lid with vigorously grained walnut opens to an elaborate stepped interior fitted with small drawers and dividers framing the prospect door. There is a sliding panel in the writing surface which opens to reveal the map well. The case is fitted with two short drawers over two additional long drawers. A fine Italian Baroque inlaid walnut fall front bureau, circa 1750. The top and front have a serpentine contour and frame the fall front lid which opens to an interior fitted with small drawers. The lower case has three long drawers over base with shaped feet. The lid, drawers and case are decorated with bold scrolled and line inlays. Condition: Very good with fine rich color and patina. Dimensions: Height 35 1/2", Depth 23", Width 39".

An Eighteenth Century New England tiger maple fall front desk, circa 1770. The slant lid opens to an interior fitted with 8 dividers centering an open prospect well. There are five small short drawers below the dividers. The case with four drawers above a base with straight bracket feet. The desk is worked in a wonderfully striped tiger maple with fine color.
