A fine Early Nineteenth Century American painted blanket chest, probably Pennsylvania or New York State, circa 1820. The chest constructed of poplar has a wonderful and original painted surface with repeating swirls in a mustard colored paint. Condition is very good. A fine German inlaid walnut Baroque commode, circa 1750. The three drawer commode with a serpentine front is decorated with elaborate inlaid panels incorporating burr walnut and various fruit woods.
