This handsome, romantic Gorham sterling silver heart box is decorated with lovely scrolled flourishes on top and side, and has a handsome monogram which I believe is "HF" intertwined. The measurements are 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" x 1 1/2". It shows normal wear and very minor denting, but the hinged lid is working beautifully, and it is a handsome item. It would make a lovely, small jewelry box. USA c. 1930
These sterling silver salt an pepper shakers decorated in an appealing swirl design, and standing 4 3/8" tall, are marked "Sterling", and "Bigelow, Kennard Boston". Excellent condition with only minimal light dents to the base. American sterling silver, c. 1910.
This hand-wrought sterling silver bowl bears the mark of the Baltimore Silver Company, a precusor of Schofield Silver, manufactured c. 1920 in Baltimore, Maryland. It has a strong "Arts and Crafts" feel. It measures 10"in diameter, and stands 2 3/8" high. It is in excellent condition.
A fine English George III sterling silver salver, William Cripps, London, 1779-80. The large tray has a beaded edge around a floral and scroll decorated field surrounding the center which is engraved with a coat of arms. The silver is hallmarked on the rear. Condition: Very good. English Georgian fiddle pattern spoon, Wiliam Eaton, London 1792-93. The spoon is engraved at the handle with a rising arm clutching wheat. The back of the handle is crisply hallmarked. Condition: Excellent. Dimensions: Length 8 3/4".
A Georg Jensen sterling silver compact circa 1930. The compact is round with a convex edge. The top is engraved with the monogram " JFP " and descended in the Plimpton Family. Condition: Very good. Dimensions: Diameter 3 1/8".
A Late Nineteenth Century French silver serving strainer spoon circa 1890-1900. The handle is decorated with scrolled acanthus edge and floral sprays. The bowl is scalloped with dot and sinuous line perforations. The silver is hallmarked in the bowl. Condition: Very good. Dimensions: Length 7 3/4", Width 2 1/8".
A pair of Late Nineteenth Century European silver sugar tongs, circa 1880-1900. The upper handle is decorated with leaves, scrolls and floral vines. The sugar grips are in the form of stylized acanthus leaves. There are illegible hallmarks stamped on each arm. Condition: Very good. Dimensions: Length 5".
A fine Continental silver, plique a jour, and guilloche enamel box, circa 1910. The box with a hinged lid decorated with a Greek key border encasing a round guilloche enamel ring in lime green cushioned with a colorful floral plique a jour field. The silver bears makers hallmarks and a 900 silver standard mark. The box is in very good condition with 2 minor enamel losses( minor nicks) in the left and front vertical and left vertical panels.
