A Late Nineteenth Century Victorian enameled glass and plated biscuit jar, circa 1880. The glass with a swirling ribbed surface is decorated in pale blue and yellow with a meandering raised yellow vine with pink blossoms. The jar is fitted with a plated collar and scrolled handles and has a domed lid with a small finial. Condition: Very good. Dimensions: Height 8", Width 7".

With its silver screw-on lid and collar, as well as its silver based fully marked with French silver touch marks, this lovely etched glass perfume stands 5 7/8" tall, and approximately 1 1/4" in diameter. There is a fully functional glass stopper in the top. There are traces of gilt on the silver, and all is heavily engraved with Louis XVI style decoration. Made in France, last quarter of the 19th Century, and in excellent condition.
