Carrying the mark for Louis Philippe and the Imperial Sevres factory, this footed bowl measures 7 3/4" in diameter, and 4" in height. The exterior is a very deep, almost black, blue color with a lace-like gilt border. The interior has a band of flowers and fruit, and a border in gold. The Louis Phillipe cypher in the interior bottom is well worn, as is the gold on the square base, and around the inner rim. There are neither chips, cracks, nor repairs. The scenic reserves are painted with landscapes depicting figures and architecture. The reserve is framed with a gold border with a tooled vine within the surface.
